PhaseMaster delivers true three-phase power with each sine wave 120° apart, providing three-phase power to any combination of motors varying in horsepower, speed, duty cycle, etc., while operating individually, simultaneously, intermittently or continuously.

PhaseMaster converters are designed to provide years of continuous worry-free performance. No adjustment, regulation or motor phase balancing is required. PhaseMaster reaches it's full speed almost instantaneously and maintains sufficient voltage to start motors with long starting cycles or with frequent starts and stops. They can handle motors operating at any given speed and instant reverse cycles are achieved as efficiently as on utility supplied three-phase.

Heavy Duty Multi-Motor
Standard Features
  • Designed to handle any heavy duty multiple motor loads.
  • The convertor will drive one motor of the largest horsepower rating shown below, plus any number of smaller motors adding up to the total horsepower listed.
  • May also be applied on any electric heat or resistance loads.
  • 230 or 460 Volts, field changeable
  • Factory wired for 230V, 3-wire operation

Options
For Performance and Safety
  • Primary Disconnect Switch: To add a two pole fusible safety disconnect switch to the converter, mounted and wired. This feature provides local ON-OFF control and short circuit protection for the converter and eliminates the need to purchase mount in the field. Switches are supplied in a NEMA 1 enclosure (other enclosures available upon request). All switches are rated 230 Volts (460 volts available). Disconnect switches come in 4 sizes (1-5 HP, 7.5-15 HP, 20-25 HP, 30-100 HP).
  • Transformers:
    • Setup: Separately mounted single-phase dry type transformer to step up 230 volts single-phase to 460 volts single-phase. Transformer is free standing or wall mounted.
    • Buck-Boost: To reduce or increase incoming supply line by 10-15%. May be used with phase converter to produce 208, three-phase output from 230 volt supply and vice versa.
  • High Running Torque Power Pack: The Power Pack improves the converter output voltage under heavy load conditions to enhance performance on applications requiring high motor torque. The Power Pack is supplied in a separate wall mounted enclosure. The Power Pack comes in 9 Models based on HP (5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50)
  • Lightning Protection: Integrally mounted lightning arrestors in separate side mounted compartment provide protection against lightning strikes and surges on the incoming utility line. Protectors come in 4 ranges based on HP (1-5 HP, 7.5-15 HP, 20-25 HP, 30-100 HP).
  • Enclosures: High Strength corrosion proof fiberglass enclosure for outdoor installations. The enclosure is a pad mount design and includes a pre-wired ventilating fan and a provision for padlocking.
  • Load Range Voltage Regulation: This modifications necessary for applications which require the converter to operate over a very wide load range. The load range regulator is available in two types:
    • HL Type: reduced load voltage control is a load range switch designed for manual or automatic operation. It allows the converter to start normally then automatically reduces the output voltage. An override switch disables the HL control for fully loaded operation.
    • VR Type: voltage controller is a manually operated system which provides a choice of two reduced voltage outputs for operating small loads on a large converter.
